Project Background

The New Gelephu International Airport is a flagship greenfield development by the Royal Government of Bhutan, situated in the ecologically sensitive southern foothills of the Himalayas. Targeting ICAO CAT I precision approach capability, the project encompasses a full SITC supply of Communication, Navigation, Surveillance and Meteorological (CNS/MET) equipment for DoAT. Our consultancy was engaged to provide comprehensive technical advisory and bid-support services to prospective equipment vendors and EPC bidders navigating this complex procurement.

Project Background

Great Nicobar Island International Airport is a greenfield international airport being developed on a remote island at the southern end of the Andaman & Nicobar archipelago in the Bay of Bengal. The complete CNS/ATM/MET suite is being engineered from first principles for a demanding island environment of salt-laden marine atmosphere, cyclone exposure, high humidity and long logistics chains from the mainland. Our consultancy is engaged for specialist engineering and pre-tender consultancy, carrying the systems from Design Basis Report through to tender-ready specifications and Bill of Quantities.

Engagement Scope & Deliverables
Design Basis Report (DBR)
Preparing the Design Basis Report that fixes design criteria, system architecture, redundancy philosophy and ICAO/DGCA/AAI compliance basis for the complete CNS/ATM/MET suite.
Siting, Coverage & Clearance Studies
Establishing NAVAID, surveillance and MET sensor siting through coverage studies, critical/sensitive area protection and obstacle clearance assessment against ICAO Annex 10 and 14.
Layouts & Drawings
